Baby Boy Update

Last Friday I had my sixth month appointment. Baby's heartbeat sounds great and doctor said everything from his ultrasound that we did last month shows that he is still on track to come the beginning of June. My parents were up from Kansas so they got to come and hear the heartbeat and meet Dr. Hebard. Next month I have to do the glucose testing which I am hoping no gestational diabetes this time.

Shelby's Braids

Shelby got her hair braided by Grandma Mary while she was visiting. I don't know how mom got her to sit still for that long but she did. Shelby thought she was pretty hot stuff with her braids.

Alderbrook Spa and Resort

Stuart and I took advantage of my parents being up here this weekend by spending a night at the Alderbrook Spa and Resort. It is a 4o minute trip from our house in Union, Washington. I got to go the spa where I had a massage and pedicure. It was great! We will definitely go again and maybe next time rent one of their cabins. Here are a couple of pictures of the beautiful scenery surrounding the resort.

VALENTINE'S DAY 2009

Snow in February

We thought we were done with the snow but last week got about 6 inches during the day. It started snowing early in the morning but didn't start sticking until around noon. When we pulled out of the garage to go to school that morning, Shelby said "It's snowing! I am so happy now". As soon as we got home that afternoon, she had to put on all her snow gear to go out and play. She made a snow dog and throw snow balls at mommy and daddy. It pretty much melted the next day. Even though she loves the snow, her parents hope for no more snow this year.

Dance Class


Shelby is now taking a dance class on Saturdays at a local dance company. For an hour, she gets to learn ballet and tap dancing. She has gone to two classes and is absolutely loving it! She has a great teacher who is very patient with her and the rest of the little girls. There are two other girls in the class that she knows very well. So far her favorite is tap. The very first class she spent a lot of time looking at herself in the big mirrors and almost ran into the teacher a couple of times. Her first performance will be on June 20th. Next week, they get to start learning their routine to "I am so cute". So far, it has been a great activity that is hers because we know she will need something like that after baby brother is born.

Princess Shelby

Shelby is all about the Disney princesses right now which includes dressing up like a princess. She loves to watch Disney princess sing-a-longs and pretend like she is a princess and Daddy is the king. She also loves to entertain us with her singing and dancing which is what she is doing in the pictures.
