IT'S A BOY!
We had an ultrasound done today and was clearly shown that we will be having a baby boy in June. He looks great and all measurements are showing that he is the right size for his due date. When we were having the ultrasound done, he was even yawning so we could see his mouth opening and closing. Shelby was right all along about a baby brother being in her mommy's belly!

Happy New Year

Shelby made it to 8:30 Kansas time on New Year's Eve. She had picked this hat out early that day in Clay Center and didn't even have the chance to wear it yet. So we decided to get a picture of her wearing it while she was sleeping.

Wearing cowboy boots

With Uncle Dustin's help, Shelby thought she needed to wear Uncle Bryson's cowboy boots. She soon learned she could not walk in them but had lots of fun anyway.

Playing in the snow

We left our house in Port Orchard that had over a foot of snow and came to Bern where they also had lots of snow and ice. Shelby got to play in the snow with Grandpa before it all melted away.

Feeding the calves

Shelby got to help Grandpa Robert feed the calves while she was back. She has always enjoyed seeing the pigs and cows when she is in Kansas but has never gotten the chance to help Grandpa with his chores. (12/08)

Christmas 2008

After leaving our house with 15 inches of snow and a 3 hour flight delay, we made it to Kansas for Christmas. We arrived late Sunday December 21st and got to stay until January 2nd. We all had a wonderful Christmas spending time with family and friends. Shelby, of course, was extremely spoiled by grandparents, uncles and aunts. She really got into opening presents this year. Some of her favorites were her Dora doll from Aunt Jessica and Uncle Craig, her horse that Grandpa Robert made, Dora movies from Aunt Katie and Uncle Dustin, Curious George book from Grandparents Haverkamp and her race car from Grandparents Avery.
